How you can make more money by changing your habits.

One of the quickest ways to change your life is by changing your habits.

If you were to change one habit per month for the rest of your life, can you imagine the effect that would have on it?

Want to make more money? Change your money habits.

Want to change your way of thinking? Change your mental habits.

You get the picture.

If you change your habits, you change yourself. If you change yourself, you change your life.

If you want to live a life of abundance and wealth, you must start by changing your habits.

While changing habits (or creating new ones) is by no means an easy thing to do, if you do it in a certain way, it becomes more bearable.

The best way to change habits is to focus on one habit at a time, be clear and specific about what your new habit is going to be, focus on replacing the habit (not just ending it) and stick to it for at least 21 days.

This article will show you the most effective ways to change or create new habits.

If you’ve read any of my other articles at my website http://www.abundancementality.com, you probably know that I’m a fan of focusing on only ONE thing at a time.

It has been shown that you can only consciously focus on no more than one thing. For that reason, I suggest that you focus on only one new habit at a time.

Starting a new habit is simple, thought not exactly an easy thing to do. By focusing on only one new habit at a time, it makes it easier to use more of your mental resources on the task which increases your chances of actually reaching your goal.

Being clear about your outcome will definitely help you when creating a new habit.

Make sure you take some time to be SPECIFIC about what your new habit is going to be. Actually write it down if possible. Be very clear about it.

Once you know what your new habit is, it will be much easier to actually stick to it.

If you’re changing habits from a negative to a positive one, focus on REPLACING the habit with another behavior, not just quitting the old habit.

According to Gestalt psychologists, one of the mind’s jobs is to fill in vacuums. If you stop a habit “cold turkey” and do not have a good replacement habit to fill in that mental vacuum you’re either going to 1) go back to the old habit or 2) take on a similar one (if you’ve ever smoked and tried to quit, you know what I’m talking about).

For that reason, make sure to come up with a “replacement” before you even decide to change.

The most important part about habit creation is, (you guessed it) sticking to it.

All of the resources I’ve studied on the subject agree that sticking to a new behavior for 21 to 30 days seems to be the “key time” to actually make the process work. After 21 days, most new behaviors become habitual and you no longer have to worry about them.

So far I’ve personally found the 21 day period to work pretty well, so try it out and see for yourself.

If you wish to have a life of abundance, being able to change or create new habits is one of the best skills you could have.

By paying attention to such simple tasks as sticking to a habit at a time, being clear about what your new habit is going to be, focusing on replacing the habit instead of just quitting “cold turkey” and sticking to the new behavior for 21 days, making new habits becomes a much simpler task.

ACTION:

Pick ONE new positive behavior (whether it is to work more on your business or even read more articles on the subject) and stick to it for 21 days until it becomes a habit.
